The Range of Light, Inyo County, California
John Muir's apt description of the Sierra Nevada as The Range of Light seemed especially apropos for this view of its grandest escarpment. There is sufficient detail to make a gigantic print — an increasingly common trait in my work, going far beyond the old goal of matching the 8x10 B&W work of the mid-20th century and while reveling in the color of our world.
Please note that the borders of matted and/or framed prints shown here are overly broad when the images are of very wide aspect ratio, such as this image's. See the dimensions in the Purchase tab to get a closer sense of my preferred presentation.
